Developing leadership skills
In 2013, I was asked to develop a series of workshops for creative people living and working in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter. The aim was to help them improve their leadership and management skills.
The four half-day workshops covered collaboration (for large art projects), managing people skills, leadership skills and effective communication. They were free but funded by Leicester City Council using European ERDF funding.
Because I was working with creative people, I designed highly interactive and tactile workshops to allow the delegates to learn by doing. That meant that the workshops were really well received, great fun and helped give the delegates gain useful skills.
